God Works In Mysterious Ways

Romans 8:5-11

Those who live according to the flesh have their minds set on what the flesh desires; but those who live in accordance with the Spirit have their minds set on what the Spirit desires. The mind governed by the flesh is death, but the mind governed by the Spirit is life and peace. The mind governed by the flesh is hostile to God; it does not submit to God’s law, nor can it do so. Those who are in the realm of the fleshcannot please God.

You, however, are not in the realm of the flesh but are in the realm of the Spirit, if indeed the Spirit of God lives in you. And if anyone does not have the Spirit of Christ, they do not belong to Christ. 10 But if Christ is in you, then even though your body is subject to death because of sin, the Spirit gives life because of righteousness. 11 And if the Spirit of him who raised Jesus from the dead is living in you, he who raised Christ from the dead will also give life to your mortal bodies because of his Spirit who lives in you.

NewDay Friends,

This Sunday Bethany von Steinbergs will be sharing the story of how she, and her family, have experienced God in tangible ways through prayer and listening for the Spirit's promptings. The von Steinbergs have a contagious fire for God, for following the Spirit, and for lifting up others. They are always ready to give an answer when asked about the hope and joy found in their lives.

Bethany is a Strengths consultant in which she is able to show people the strengths and the goodness God has given every person, speaking truth and love to others everyday. Hear how they felt the Lord calling them to move from California to "Land on 52 Farm" where they are raising three boys along with yaks, goats, and chickens (to name a few), while continuously listening for God's purposes and staying obedient to the Lord. This Sunday will be an encouragement to anyone who longs to experience God and to obey His calling by looking at where God has been active in their own lives.

Blessings,
Derek
